Hello! I’m David Santos, a Software Engineering student at the University of Texas at Dallas, expected to graduate in Decemember 2025. With a GPA of 3.275, I have a strong foundation in software engineering principles and hands-on experience with various programming languages and technologies.

My coursework includes Data Structures & Algorithms, Systems Programming in UNIX, Database Systems, Operating Systems Concepts, among others. I'm passionate about both software development and cybersecurity, I actively engage in UTD's Cybersecurity Club and AWS Club to enhance my learning.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I work as a personal trainer at Body20, where I design personalized workout plans for clients, contributing to a motivating training environment. Outside of work and studies, I enjoy powerlifting and am an active member of the Powerlifting Club at UTD.

iOS Workout App

October 2024 - Present

Developed a user-friendly iOS app for tracking workouts, including features to create/delete workouts, log duration, track sets/reps, and view progress over time. Integrated a workout history deletion feature to remove accidental sessions.

Created a phishing detection tool that utilizes the Google Safe Browsing API to identify suspicious URLs. Gained experience in cybersecurity protocols and API integration, ensuring seamless communication with Google's threat database.

Discord Moderation Bot

Built a Python-based Discord bot to help server admins enforce banned words in chat. Integrated MongoDB for database management, achieving a 100% detection accuracy, thus improving moderation efficiency.
